Chisinau, 17 January /MOLDPRES/ - Prime Minister  Pavel Filip today unveiled the summing up of the government’s work during the last three years after the swearing in office. The PM made a retrospective of the results achieved. He stressed that, although the cabinet had started it work on a period of instability, after taking over the mandate, it acted punctually on each sector, in order to cope with citizens’ expectations, the government’s communication and protocol department has reported.

„There are many achievements and I am happy that all of them are proved by concrete figures and results which are seen in statistics data, schedules, developments. After a period of crises and unrest, in the last three years, we have had a constant growth in most sectors, which will continue in the next years too. We understood quite quickly that we must start working, that people have already left themselves deceived by words, so that we should offer them deeds – changes which they are to feel in the pocket and in their home,” Pavel Filip said.

The prime minister said that the increase in citizens’ incomes had been, from the very beginning, a special concern of the government. In this respect, a string of reforms were implemented, which brought fairness and balance. Thus, based on the wage payment reform, the salaries of all public sector employees increased: the wages in medicines grew by 83 per cent and the ones in education increased by 84 per cent. At the same time, the average salary on the economy grew from 4,600 to 7,000 lei and efforts will continue, in order to provide all categories of employees with decent revenues. At the same time, based on the pensions’ reform, the pensioners’ revenues, which have grown by 50 per cent on average since the taking over of the mandate, will increase in continuation. Also, more allocations have increased in the last 3 years, among which the one provided at the child’s birth, allowance for young teachers, as well as the sum provided per one pupil for nourishment at school.

According to the prime minister, the social investments were possible due to the economic stabilization, increase in budget revenues, as well as to the reforms underway for facilitating the work of the business environment. “The statements are the other’s specialty; we work with figures at the government: 170,000 jobs have been created in three years, the exports increase and we have investments worth 160 million dollars in Free Economic Zones. Investments, well-paid jobs, higher revenues – i.e. well-being. In this way, we want to persuade the people to remain at home.”

To create better living conditions, governmental programmes have been launched, among which A Doctor for You, A New Life, as well as programmes on subsidizing businesses started by women and young people. Also, 1,200 families have already bought dwellings within the First Home programme and 1,600 km of roads from Moldova were repaired within the Good Roads project.

Pavel Filip also referred to the progress made in the relations with the neighbor countries, touching upon, also, the actions of enhancing Moldova’s security. For the first time ever, Moldova can control its entire border, including on the Transnistrian segment.

In the end of the report’s presentation, the PP praised the work of the entire governmental team, stressing that, in the last three years, by joint effort, the authorities had managed to do more than all the previous governances. “I was happy to see in opinion polls, as well as in the territory that most people say that many good things had been carried out on this period. This is the most important appreciation for us – the one coming from people. People can distinguish between those who promise to destroy and those who have built and promise to build. The government will work in full capacity and will produce results for people in continuation as well,” the prime minister added.
