Some theatrical, concert institutions to be reorganised in Moldova

Chisinau, 18 January /MOLDPRES/ – Some theatrical and concert institutions will be reorganised by transforming them from state – owned enterprises into public institutions. The decision has been taken by the Government today.
The state secretary of the Ministry of Education, Culture and Research (MECC), Igor Sarov, said at the meeting that the target institutions include the National Opera and Ballet Theatre Maria Biesu, National Theatre Mihai Eminescu, Republican Theatre Luceafarul, National Theatre Eugene Ionesco, Russian State Drama Theatre A.P. Chekhov, Republican Theatre Licurici, Theatre Alexei Mateevici, National State Theatre Vasile Alecsandri, National Philharmonic Orchestra Serghei Lunchevici, Orchestra Hall and the National Academic Dance Ensemble JOC.
According to the decision, the position of founder of the respective institutions will be exercised by MECC.
The authors of the project argued the transformation of these enterprises into public institutions throughout the necessity to adjust the organisational form, respectively the constitutive acts to the provisions of the legal norms regulating the activity of the mentioned entities.
The newly created public institutions will be the successors of the rights and obligations of state – owned enterprises reorganised throughout transformation.
