Average salary on economy, forecast in Moldova for 2019, stands at 6,975 lei

Chisinau, 18 January /MOLDPRES/ - The average salary on the economy, forecast for 2019, is of 6,975 lei. This salary was established in line with the forecast of macroeconomic indexes for 2019-2021.

The draft was worked out by the Health, Labour and Social Protection Ministry and was approved by the government today. According to the draft, the average monthly salary on the economy is set in order to be used, in particular, as ceiling of the calculation basis of the social insurances allowances, at the calculation by employers of the mandatory state social insurances contributions from the material aid provided from money of trade unions and employers from the sums exceeding the average monthly salary on the economy.

At the presentation of the government’s activity report for three years on 17 January, Prime Minister Pavel Filip said that, in the last years, the average salary on the economy had increased from 4,600 lei to about 7,000 lei.
