Moldovan government approves decision condemning Antisemitism, promoting tolerance

Chisinau, 18 January /MOLDPRES/ - The government approved a decision on the condemning of the Antisemitism and promotion of tolerance at a meeting today.
Under this decision, the cabinet condemned any manifestation of Antisemitism and approved the working definition of the Antisemitism, adopted by the International Holocaust Remembrance Alliance (IHRA) at a plenary meeting in May 2016.
At the cabinet meeting, Justice Minister Victoria Iftodi said that the decision represented an additional public manifestation of Moldova’s intention to fulfill its obligations in its capacity of member or state observer at diverse international organizations, the mission of which is to protect the human rights and fight any forms of discrimination.
The public authorities will identify and use in their own activity the most efficient means for the prevention and combating of Antisemitism, extremism, racism and any forms of discrimination and intolerance.
