Chisinau, 18 January /MOLDPRES/ - The public institution, Social Investments Fund of Moldova (FISM), will be in charge of the preparation, implementation and reporting the implementation of the list of projects financed by the government of Romania. The cabinet took a decision to this effect today, the government’s communication and protocol department has reported.
A sum of three million euros has been recently disbursed to FISM’s account. The sum is meant for developing the education infrastructure and for creating better conditions for children attending pre-school institutions. Thus, with Romania’s financial support, 244 kindergartens are to be renovated in 33 districts of Moldova. Depending on the present needs, furniture will be bought, roofs, nourishment and sanitary units will be repaired. At the same time, teaching materials will be purchased, playgrounds, festive and sports halls will be constructed.
The Moldovan and Romanian governments on 27 April 2010 signed an agreement on the enforcement of a programme on technical and financial assistance based on a non-refundable financial assistance worth 100 million euros, provided by Romania to Moldova. So far, more than 900 kindergartens from all other Moldova out of 1,500 existing ones have been already renovated with this sum.
