Rescuers from five Moldovan districts to receive special vehicles for intervention in fires

Chisinau, 18 January /MOLDPRES/ - The emergency situations could be managed more efficiently and the time of rescuers’ intervention in risky situations will be shortened. To this end, five special intervention vehicles for extinguishing fires will be distributed to five districts of Moldova: Edinet, Falesti, Calarasi, Straseni and Telenesti. The cabinet of ministers approved a decision to this effect today.

According to the government’s communication and protocol department, the technical means were donated to Moldova by foreign partners for endowing territorial posts of rescuers and firemen volunteers from the settlements of Terebna, Sarata Veche, Sipoteni, Cojusna and Bogzesti.

The Interior Ministry’s (MAI) General Inspectorate for Emergency Situations (IGSU) has earlier benefited from 24 universal technology units for interventions in emergency situations. The cars were purchased from the state budget and are to reach the IGSU subdivisions from Moldova.
