Moldovan government approves anticorruption action plan in agro-food sector

Chisinau, 18 January /MOLDPRES/ - The cabinet of ministers today approved a sectoral anticorruption action plan in the agro-food sector, due to be implemented till 2020.
Under the document, most corruption cases in the agro-food sector appear in the process of state institutions exercising specific duties and competences: regulation, certification, supervision and organization.
In these conditions, the authorities are set to strengthen the professional and institutional integrity, to guarantee the efficient management of the state institutions’ patrimony and ensure transparency and resistance to corruption risks of civil servants and public agents.
Among the actions included in the document, there are the establishment of the system of submitting the file on asking financial support online, developing automated information systems, employment and promotion of public agents based on the merit and professional integrity, ensuring the transparent management of the public patrimony and foreign assistance.
The implementation of the actions seen in the plan does not additional costs.
