Euro, US dollar cheapen against Moldovan leu

Chisinau, 18 January /MOLDPRES/ – The single European currency (EUR) and the US dollar (USD) will cheapen with MDL 0.01 early next week. The official exchange rates have been posted by the National Bank of Moldova (BNM) today.

Thus, the euro will cost MDL 19.55, and the dollar – MDL 17.14.

Also with MDL 0.01 will cheapen the Romanian leu (RON). Its official price will be MDL 04.16. The BNM has also set a currency exchange rate of MDL 0.25 for the Russian rouble (RUB) and MDL 0.61 for the Ukrainian hryvnia (UAH). Both will retain their values as today.

The official exchange rate is the price of the Moldovan leu (MDL) against the currencies of foreign states.
