PM inspects renovation works of kindergartens, roads in villages of centre district of Moldova

Chisinau, 18 January /MOLDPRES/ – Prime Minister, Pavel Filip, has inspected today the two roads in villages Samananca and Teleseu, Orhei district, renovated under programme: The good roads. They were repaired under capital terms, and the value of works being about MDL 1.4 million for each locality. In village Samananca, the works were carried out on a section of 940 m, and in Teleseu – 1 km.

According to the government's communication and protocol department, Pavel Filip has talked with the locals, which said that until recently they did not dare to dream of good roads in these regions. The PM specified that the development of road infrastructure remains one of the priorities of the Executive and has an important role in motivating people to stay at home. "Most complain that young people leave the country. Of course, they will leave unless they have good living conditions. And if we want to live better, we have to start with villages and develop them. That is why we started this project," said PM.

Totally, there have been rehabilitated 1,600 km of roads under programme: The good roads. The programme will be extended in 2019 – the Government aims to rehabilitate another 2,600 km of roads.

Also today, the Premier visited two kindergartens in Orhei district. The kindergarten in village Samananca, attended by 50 children, was renovated with the support of the Romanian Government. For this year, it will be allocated MDL 400 thousand from the state budget (BS) for repair of kindergarten roof.

And in the village Teleseu the conditions in the kindergarten have become better due to investment of MDL 1 million, which allowed the endowment with new furniture, sanitary block and kitchen technical equipment. Some of the issues to be solved include the repair of the electricity system and the nursery block. The Premier said the Government would examine the possibility of carrying out these works.

Pavel Filip was also interested in the salary level of the employees, which were pleased with the increase in the levy following the salary reform. Starting this month, they receive double salaries. "If there is money in the budget, it will automatically be possible to raise wages. We have managed to fix the basic salary and bring order into system," said PM.
