Moldovan PM has meeting with members of European parliament

Chisinau, 19 January /MOLDPRES/ – Prime Minister, Pavel Filip, has had today a meeting with the delegation of the Friends of Moldova Group of the European Parliament, Romanian MEPs, Norica Nicolai and Maria Grapini, the government's communication and protocol department has reported.
The Premier appreciated the continued support of the MEPs for the European agenda of Moldova, both at bilateral level and at the plenary sessions of the European Parliament. The voice of Romanian MEPs is even more vocal now, when Romania holds the Presidency of the Council of the European Union. A particular attention is also paid to the future of the Eastern Partnership (EaP).
The parties also made an exchange of views on the parliamentary elections of 24 February. The PM said that the authorities have been making every effort to ensure for the elections to be free, democratic and transparent, according to all European norms.
The MEPs, Norica Nicolai and Maria Grapini, appreciated the reforms implemented by the Government as to increase the standard of living of the population and mentioned that they would continue to support Moldova on its European path.
The group of friends of Moldova in the European Parliament was created in 2017, at the initiative of Norica Nicolai.
