Seventeen doctors apply for establishment of individual cabinets of family physician in Moldova

Chisinau, 22 January /MOLDPRES/ – Almost 1,100 family doctors have requested the assignment of family doctor practice, 46 of whom applied for the independent exercise of the profession of family physician, 17 – for the establishment of the individual cabinets of family physician and 29 opted for Centres of Family Physicians. The receiving of requests continue.

According to the Ministry of Healthcare, Labour and Social Protection's data, three individual cabinets of family physician are already contracted by the National Healthcare Insurance Company (CNAM) and operate as of 01 January 2019.

According to the cited source, it continues receipt of requests for establishment of the individual cabinets of family physician and centres of family doctors.

The goal of the Primary Healthcare Reform (RAMP) is to provide family doctors to all localities in Moldova and increase the quality of primary healthcare services. The free practice of a family doctor exists in parallel with existing system, and physicians can choose the form of activity individually.
