More roads keep ice in Moldova

Chisinau, 22 January /MOLDPRES/ – More roads in Moldova keep the ice, and the road workers continued last night to fight the icy roads.
The head of the operative service of the State Road Administration (ASD), Sergiu Capatina, has mentioned for the agency that during the night they did not snow.
"The number of 162 road workers, with 74 special vehicles, distributed 468 tonnes of anti – skid material, and were involved in patrol, removal and fighting of snow. At present, the road traffic on the national roads is ensured in winter conditions," said Capatina.
Interviewed by agency, the head of the Weather Forecasts Centre (CPM) at the State Hydrometeorological Service (SHS), Ghenadie Rosca, said that the weather is getting cold in upcoming days. "There will be precipitations in the countryside in the form of snow and sleet. However, the weather may change. Currently, the meteorologists are preparing the forecast for upcoming days," said Rosca.
According to the data, at noon the thermometres will indicate up to – 08ºC in the north of Moldova, and the day will record up to 0ºC in the south.
