One-off child-birth allowance to increase in Moldova

Chisinau, 22 January /MOLDPRES/ - The one-off child-birth allowance will be increased from 6,303 lei up to 10,000 lei. The leader of the Democratic Party of Moldova (PDM), today made statements to this effect at the end of the PDM weekly meeting.

The Democrats’ leader noted that the economic situation in Moldova allowed increasing more payments. “The economic situation allows us coming up with a proposal of substantial increase in the one-off allowance from 6,303 lei to 10,000 lei for each child born. Besides this one-off allowance, the state has been providing, for several months already, essential products worth 1,500 lei, within the governmental programme, A New Life,” Plahotniuc said.

According to Plahotniuc, also to back families, the governance has worked out a programme, within which all minors from Moldova will receive monthly allocations worth 200 lei till the age of 18 years.
