Rules of import of medicines to Transnistrian region to be changed

Chisinau, 22 January /MOLDPRES/ - Medicines, pharmaceutical, para-pharmaceutical products, pharmaceutical raw material, phyto-sanitary products and fertilizers will be able to be imported to the eastern districts of Moldova only by the economic agents from this region registered with the Public Services Agency (ASP), starting from 1 February 2019.

At the same time, the import procedures will be carried out in line with the standards set by the Customs Service and the imported goods will remain only on the territory of the Transnistrian region.

Presently, only seven economic agents have right to import pharmaceutical, para-pharmaceutical products and pharmaceutical raw material for the settlements from the left bank of Dniester.

According to the Customs Service, the action represents the first stage of the process of unification of the import of pharmaceutical products, in accordance with Moldova’s legislation and international standards, which will last till 1 July 2019, when the next phase of this process will be initiated.
