Moldovan farmers may get grants for financing infrastructure projects

Chisinau, 23 January /MOLDPRES/ - Small- and medium-sized enterprises, peasant’s farms and groups of producers from rural areas, who practice agricultural activities, can get grants worth up to 200,000 dollars for developing infrastructure within the Rural Resilience Programme (IFAD VII).
The consolidated unit for the implementation of IFAD programmes informed that the files for projects, due to be financed in 2020, can be submitted till 12 April 2019. The client group which can benefit from financial assistance should be made up of at least four economic agents from the rural area, which have had economic activity in the agriculture sector or processing farming production during at least two years.
The money got could be used for the construction of water supply networks for irrigation, building or rehabilitation of lakes for collecting water for irrigation, modernization of road segments or bridges, in order to provide access to agricultural production areas and enterprises for processing agro-food products.
The grants will be provided based on the results of the announced contest and of assessing applications on financing.
