Circulation of trucks ceased on south route of Moldova

Chisinau, 24 January /MOLDPRES/ – The circulation of trucks on route Cahul – Giurgiulesti was stopped for an hour today at noon. The reason for stopping is the ice – covered road, and the cars are moving with difficulty. The National Patrol Inspectorate (INP) announced about it.
The INP has asked drivers to avoid travelling as much as possible on the route. The policemen especially warned drivers of heavy cars that are not equipped for winter traffic.
Also, the INP specified that patrol officers are on the route and are prepared to intervene if needed. There are involved over 250 patrol inspectors in streamlining traffic and road safety on routes throughout Moldova.
