National radio frequency management service of Moldova has new headquarters at 25 years of work

Chisinau, 24 January /MOLDPRES/ – The National Radio Frequency Management Service (SNMFR) has a new headquarters, equipped with modern facilities that will enhance the quality of provided services. It has been inaugurated today with participation of Prime Minister, Pavel Filip, the government's communication and protocol department reported.
The new headquarters of the SNMFR has the latest equipment that will ensure the efficient use of radio spectrum resources and verification of the quality of electronic services provided to the citizen. The Prime Minister appreciated the efficient management of the financial resources by the institution administration, which allowed the creation of the new work conditions. "I think it was an effective activity and we have to admit that you are a strong team. For 5 years I led the Ministry of Information Technology and Communications (MTIC), I had a very good collaboration and I want to tell you that I am proud of what we see here today," said the head of Executive.
For the first time in Moldova, it was built the semi – anecoic chamber, validated internationally. It has a lab which will be included in the international accreditation circuit in upcoming future and there will be recognised technical documents issued by it, at European level. Also, the new headquarters also has a central station of the National Radio Frequency Spectrum Radiation Monitoring System (SNRSFR), which allows the measurement and verification of the technical parameters of authorised radio transmitters and detection of unauthorised radio sources.
Also, as a result of the government initiative, so as to improve the services provided by mobile cellular providers, the mobile system for measuring the quality parameters of mobile cellular electronic communications services has been implemented.
"I remember with great detail our cooperation when we developed the Programme of frequency management (PGF). As such, the effective spectrum management is nothing more than a contribution to strengthening sovereignty and independence of the state. It is a very important dimension and, no doubt, it speaks about your ability, the ones involved in it," said Pavel Filip.
In this context, the PM congratulated the institution employees with 25 years of work of the SNMFR, and was convinced that the institution would continue to develop in line with the requirements of the information age and will constantly increase the quality communications services.
The SNMFR ensures the efficient use of the radio spectrum, guarantees the quality of electronic communications services provided by operators to final consumers and it is responsible for certification of radio – electronic equipment having access to Moldovan market.
