Moldova on first position among Commonwealth of Independent States member countries in The Good Country Index ranking

Chisinau, 24 January /MOLDPRES/ - Moldova is on the 27th position in the ranking The Good Country Index and ranks first in this respect among the Commonwealth of Independent States (CIS) member countries.
Moldova is followed in the ranking by Slovakia. The neighbour countries, Romania and Ukraine, have got the 29th and 75th positions, respectively. Moldova outstripped such countries as Russia, which ranked 41st, Greece (42), Turkey (57) and China (59).
The goal of the ranking, The Good Country Index, is to establish to what extent each state contributes to the common well-being of the mankind. The ranking was worked out based on data supplied by more international organizations, among which the United Nations, UN International Children's Emergency Fund, International Monetary Fund, etc.
Finland is on the first position in the ranking, which includes 153 states. It is followed by Ireland and Sweden. Libya and respectively, Iraq, are on the last two positions.
