On some Moldovan national road sectors drivers encounter difficulties

Chisinau, 25 January /MOLDPRES/ – On some national road sectors it is difficult to travel, and on several portions the truck access has been restricted. Minister of Economy and Infrastructure, Chiril Gaburici, inspected last night several routes in Moldova to inspect if the roads are cleaned and circulate safely.
According to the ministry, the traffic is difficult on routes: Anenii Noi – Causeni – Stefan Voda – the border with Ukraine – Troita Noua and Hancesti – Leova – Cahul – Giurgiulesti. Also, the truck access is restricted to Chisinau on route Hancesti – Chisinau.
"We urge all drivers not to start trips on the road, we have very complicated traffic conditions. We must avoid long journeys to the possible extent. It is continuously intervened on the national routes to ensure the winter traffic throughout the country," said Minister Chiril Gaburici.
During the night, there were carried out patrols, works of snow clearing and skidding on national roads. In the technological process, there were used 256 special vehicles, 268 road workers, and 798 tonnes of anti – skid material
Under these conditions, the drivers are encouraged to travel at low speeds both in and out of the localities, to keep a greater distance between cars, so that they can braek the car in due time, avoid parking cars near trees.
In the coming days, the weather keeps cool. At night, the thermometers will indicate up to – 07ºC in the north of the country, and the day will record up to +03ºC in the south. It will snow throughout the country, with occasional sleet.
