Chisinau to organise series of actions dedicated to commemorating victims of Holocaust

Chisinau, 25 January /MOLDPRES/ – The Parliament, in partnership with the Jewish Community of Moldova and the Government of Moldova, organises a complex commemoration programme for victims of the Holocaust on 29 January 2019, the parliament’s communication and public relations department has reported.
The programme will start in the morning with the Holocaust Victim Commemoration Ceremony. Speaker of Parliament, Andrian Candu, together with the Jewish community, representatives of the Roma community, President of the US Committee for the Conservation of American Heritage Abroad, Paul Packer, Vice – President of the Knesset of Israel, Tali Ploskov, Never Again Association of Poland, Natalia Sineaeva – Pankowska, will commemorate the victims of the Holocaust in the event organised at the monument of the Victims of Fascism, on street Calea Orheiului, at 10:00.
Starting with 14:00, the Parliament will hold a roundtable to present the report on the implementation of the Holocaust Action Plan in Moldova, as well as the actions taken by the authorities to prevent the history of the Holocaust ever being repeated.
At 15:30, in Parliament, it will be inaugurated an exhibition commemorating the victims of the Holocaust, as well as a book offered by the Jewish Library I. Manghera.
The programme will end with the closed premiere of film: Who will write our history, projected in Europe, USA, Canada, on Holocaust commemorating days.
