Foreign minister discusses in Davos cooperation of Moldova with UN Office in Geneva

Chisinau, 25 January /MOLDPRES/ – Minister of Foreign Affairs and European Integration, Tudor Ulianovschi, had a meeting with the Director – General of the UN Office in Geneva, Michael Møller, in his participation in the work of the World Economic Forum in Davos, the MAEIE’s information and media communication service has reported.
During the discussion, the officials exchanged views on the degree and pace of implementation of projects launched in recent years by the UN Office in Geneva, including the Patrimonial Strategic Plan, Perceptual Change Project (PCP), and the initiative of Michael Møller to set up an Information and Consultancy Resources Centre in the field of the implementation of Sustainable Development Objectives, which will serve as a platform for info, experience and best practices exchange among the member states of the UNO.
Minister Tudor Ulianovschi underlined the valuable contribution of the UN specialised institutions in Moldova, working within the UN Resident Coordinator System, to the efforts to develop and modernise Moldova.
The head of Moldovan diplomacy appreciated the work of Michael Møller, which is at the end of his mandate, as Director – General of the UN Office in Geneva, highlighting the contribution and successes of the Office during his mandate, promoting universal values of peace, human rights, and sustainable development, which will continue to have a direct impact on people around the world.
