Uninominal constituencies get 360 files for registration of candidates for position of MP of Moldova

Chisinau, 25 January /MOLDPRES/ – In the uninominal electoral constituencies, there were submitted 360 files for registration as a candidate for the position of MP.

According to the Central Electoral Commission, to date, electoral councils of uninominal constituencies have registered 246 electoral contestants, out of which 25 are independent.

At the same time, there were rejected 07 applications for registration of candidates for the post of MP, and 107 files are being examined. Thus, the uninominal electoral constituency electoral councils, within no more than 07 days, will decide on the registration or non – registration of the nominated candidates.

The deadline for submitting files for the registration of electoral candidates for the parliamentary elections expired on 24 January.

The parliamentary elections of 24 February will be held after a mixed electoral system. Thus, there will be elected 50 MPs on party lists and 51 ones in uninominal constituencies.
