Moldovan diplomacy head meets with Argentinian secretary for international economic relations

Chisinau, 25 January /MOLDPRES/ – Minister of Foreign Affairs and European Integration, Tudor Ulianovschi, has had a meeting, in Davos on the sidelines of the World Economic Forum, with Secretary for International Economic Relations of Argentina, Horacio Reyser Travers, during which they discussed possibilities to gain economic ties of the two countries, as well as the initiation of the opening procedure of the Embassy of Moldova in Buenos Aires, the MAEIE’s public diplomacy, strategic communication and media interaction service has reported.

During the discussion, the head of Moldovan diplomacy assessed the current cooperation framework between Moldova and Argentina, highlighting the potential of bilateral relations in agriculture and wine.

The parties highlighted the main objectives in the bilateral Moldovan – Argentine dialogue for 2019, highlighting good cooperation within the specialised agencies of UNO. Also, during the meeting, there were approached trade and economic relations of Moldova and Argentina, as a member of MERCOSUR with EU.

In this context, the interlocutors noted that opening a diplomatic mission in Buenos Aires would contribute to deepening and expanding bilateral relations, Minister Tudor Ulianovschi informing the official Argentine that soon the Argentine capital to be deployed a charge d'affaires of the MAEIE, which will initiate proceedings establishing an Embassy.
