Movement of high-tonnage vehicles resumed in Moldova

Chisinau, 25 January /MOLDPRES/ - The movement of vehicles on more national roads has been resumed, after they had to stand because of the roadway covered with ice.  

According to the General Inspectorate for Emergency Situations (IGSU), the movement was resumed on the road R-30 Anenii Noi-Causeni-Stefan Voda-border with Ukraine, on the road R-34 Hancesti-Leova-Cahul-Slobozia Mare, segment Cahul-Giurgiulesti, road segment R-35 Basarabeasca-Comrat, segment Cantemir-Comrat.       

At the same time, in the last hours, rescuers and firemen intervened in new situations of de-blocking touring cars skid from the road. Firemen’s intervention was necessary in Floresti, Stefan Voda, Anenii Noi, Cahul, Rezina, Causeni, Cantemir and the Autonomous Territorial Unit of Gagauzia.   

Thus, early in the morning, rescuers de-blocked a mini-bus nearby the settlement Cernita, northern Floresti district, and a lorry with 20 tons of loads skid and was towed by firemen.   

Information by electric energy providers shows that there are no settlements disconnected from power supply in Moldova. More than 400 rescuers and firemen are involved in the monitoring and removing of the consequences of emergency situations with 133 technology units.  

People are urged to be cautious when setting out and listen to authorities’ messages. In risky situations, people can call the 112 Service.
