Road traffic temporarily interrupted on national road in southern Moldova

Chisinau, 26 January /MOLDPRES/ - The road traffic remained temporarily interrupted on the national road Baimaclia – Taraclia de Salcie before 7 am. Measures are taken to resume the traffic on this road, the State Administration of Roads (ASD) has informed.

According to a press release by ASD, all dangerous segments are permanently monitored by roads’ managers and competent employees intervene, if needed. Last night, works of removing snow and fighting glazed frost were carried out on national roads. As many as 220 roadmen and 100 special equipments were involved in removing snow, with 1,041.25 tons of antiskid material spread.

The road traffic on the national roads takes place in winter conditions, ASD also said. Yet, the traffic conditions “are satisfactory”.

The state enterprise State Administration of Roads has placed 40 web cameras on national roads, which provide the monitoring and visualization of roads’ state in due time.
