Employees of Moldovan State Protection and Guards Service awarded government's Honorary Diploma

Chisinau, 26 January /MOLDPRES/ - A group of officers and non-commissioned officers of the State Protection and Guard Service was awarded the government’s Honorary Diploma on the occasion of the 27th anniversary of the institution’s foundation, the government’s communication and protocol department has reported.
The cabinet’s diplomas were provided for high professionalism and special merits in fulfilling the job duties, for faithfulness and devotion to the country.
Prime Minister Pavel Filip congratulated the institution’s employees on the anniversary and thanked them for the courage and sacrifice proved in their daily work.
„Through work and devotion, you have contributed to Moldova’s self-assertion on the international stage as a safe country in a world marked by more and more turbulence. I am sure that, in continuation, you will contribute, with the same dedication, to ensuring the mission of protection, in the spirit of honour and professional dignity,” reads the message signed by PM Pavel Filip.
The State Protection and Guard Service (SPPS) was set up on 27 January 1992. SPPS is a state body with special powers in the state’s security sector, specialized in ensuring the protection of Moldova’s officials, foreign officials during their stay in Moldova, as well as in ensuring the guard of the office headquarters and their residences.
