More air flights delayed, cancelled due to thick fog in Moldova

Chisinau, 28 January /MOLDPRES/ – More air flights have been delayed or cancelled today because of the thick fog that has been left on Chisinau International Airport (AIC).
According to the airport's official website, the flight to Istanbul will take off late. There are delays of over an hour for the landings of planes from Minsk and Istanbul. At the same time, there were cancelled races of Bucharest and Geneva.
Because of the dense fog there have been delays and cancellations since 27 January evening.
Interviewed by agency, the head of the Centre of weather forecast (CPM) at the State Hydrometeorological Service (SHS), Ghenadie Rosca, specified that the fog remains isolated throughout Moldova. "The fog will disperse in the following 02 – 03 hours. However, tonight it may form again. According to the forecasts, the fog will also exist in upcoming days," said Rosca.
According to the SHS’s information and media communication service, the weather is warming up in the next days. At night, thermometres will indicate up to –03ºC in the north, and the day will be up to +07ºC in the south. There will be recorded precipitations in the form of snow and sleet throughout the Moldova.
