Chinese company interested in investing in 5G technology in Moldova

Chisinau, 29 January /MOLDPRES/- Chinese company ZTE is interested in investing in 5G technology implementation in Moldova.
Representatives of the company made the statement at a today’s meeting with Prime Minister Pavel Filip. The prime minister welcomed the investor's intention, and noted that the promotion of new technologies and the implementation of large-scale projects in this sector are priorities, the government’s communication and protocol department has reported.
“You'll have the necessary support and openness of the government team. If we will make effort, we will see the expansion and development of ZTE in our country," the premier said. At the same time, Filip talked about the government's actions aimed at improving the business climate and attracting foreign companies to strategic areas for our country, such as telecommunications. The prime minister also said that the information and communications technology sector is a priority for Moldova, and the boosting of entrepreneurial activity on this segment creates new jobs and brings real benefits for the people.
ZTE representatives spoke about their investment plans, noting that government action encourages new investments: "Our interest in coming to Moldova derives from the stability and attractiveness that you have created for business."
ZTE is a Chinese company with business in more than 160 countries and about 75,000 employees.
