As many 1,250 loans for purchasing dwellings provided within First Home programme in Moldova

Chisinau, 29 January /MOLDPRES/ - A number of 1,250 loans have been provided for purchasing dwellings within the First Home governmental programme.
As many as 906 out of all beneficiaries are young families and 344 are young unmarried people.
Commercial banks provided loans worth 597.6 million lei. Data put out by the Organization for Small and Medium Enterprises Sector Development shows that overall sum of active guarantees is of 298.8 million lei. The average age of the applicants is of 31 years.
The First Home governmental programme was launched on 26 March 2018. In the beginning of this year, the effective interest rate paid by beneficiaries decreased by another 0.3 percentage points and is 6.1 per cent. Two weeks ago, Prime Minister Pavel Filip said the authorities were estimating that about 3,000 people would be able to buy their own dwellings within this programme throughout 2019.
