Several projects supported by EU to be implemented in Vulcanesti

Chisinau, 29 January /MOLDPRES/- Over seven million lei will be invested in the next period in the infrastructure of several localities in Vulcanesti district. This has become possible thanks to a project to support local authorities in Gagauzia, funded by the European Union and implemented by Comrat administration.
Under the programme, 20 development projects funded from grants, as well as the autonomy budget, will be implemented.
Thus, a lighting system will be installed in Carbalia village. Also, sidewalks and a bus station will be built. In Cismichioi village the construction of over two kilometers of sidewalks is planned this spring.
In Etulia village, the water and sewerage services will be completed by 1 July. At the same time, illumination of the sectors in the northern area of the district center will begin in Vulcanesti.
"There are concrete projects that will improve the living standards of local people," first deputy governor of Gagauzia Vadim Ceban said.
The Support to Public Authorities in Gagauzia (SLPA) was launched in 2017 with a budget of three million euros, supported by the European Union. The project has a 24-month implementation period and provides for more development activities.
