Moldovan electoral body registers electoral contenders on behalf of two political formations

Chisinau, 29 January /MOLDPRES/ - The Central Electoral Commission (CEC) today registered the electoral candidates on the national district on behalf of the Professionals’ Movement Speranta-Nadejda and Motherland Political Party.
The list of the Professionals’ Movement Speranta-Nadejda includes 34 candidates and the one of the Motherland Political Party – 35 candidates.
At the same time, the Commission registered the electoral symbols of these formations.
CEC has earlier registered the electoral contenders on behalf of more political formations It is about the Democratic Party of Moldova, Party of Socialists, electoral bloc ACUM Dignity and Truth Platform and Action and Solidarity Party, Party of Communists, Shor Party, Our Party, People’s Movement Antimafia, National Liberal Party, The Will of the People Political Party, the Party of Regions of Moldova and the Democracy Home Political Party. At the same time, the files of two contenders are under consideration.
The parliamentary elections due on 24 February will be held according to a mixed electoral system. Thus, 50 lawmakers will be elected on party lists and 51 MPs – in uninominal districts.
