Moldovan economics minister demands inventorying of national roads

Chisinau, 29 January /MOLDPRES/ - Economics and Infrastructure Minister Chiril Gaburici has issued an order addressed to decision-makers in the roads infrastructure sector, thereby urgently demanding an inventorying of all national roads.

„I gave instructions to decision-makers in charge of roads’ repair to make a quick inventorying of all national roads and to prepare with everything for planning and maintenance, so that, immediately after works are able to be carried out, they start, before entering the summer period,” Gaburici said.

The minister added that the Chisinau-Leuseni highway was a priority and must be urgently restored.

According to data by the Economics and Infrastructure Ministry, in 2019, about 2,600 km of roads will be repaired, after about 1,600 km of roads were repaired last year.
