Moldova's state budget revenues increase by 7.3 per cent in 2018 against year before

Chisinau, 29 January /MOLDPRES/ - The state budget revenues increased by 7.3 per cent in 2018 against the year before, up to 36.4 billion lei, according to a report by the Finance Ministry, made public today.  

According to the report, by 2.46 billion lei more revenues were collected in the state budget against 2017. The biggest generator of revenues to the state budget was the Customs Service. The revenues managed by this institution last year amounted to 21.4 billion lei, up by one billion lei or 5.1 per cent against the year before.  

The collections of the State Fiscal Service are by 15.1 per cent higher against 2017 and amount to 16.47 billion lei, the Finance Ministry said.

Of all revenues, the collections from taxes and duties stand at 34 billion lei, - by 9.2 per cent more against 2017. The revenues from income taxes amount to 6.8 billion lei, being fulfilled at the level of 112.5 per cent against the plan specified. These revenues are by 23.9 per cent higher against 2017.

The state budget spending in 2018 grew by 9 per cent against the year before, up to 38.68 billion lei.

The fulfillment of the state budget in 2018 resulted in a deficit of 2,274.7 million lei, which accounts for 44.9 per cent of the plan specified (5,062.5 million lei) or by 2,787.8 million lei lower.  

According to the Finance Ministry, the overall revenues to the national public budget amounted to 57.9 billion lei, increasing by 8.6 per cent (4,587.3 million lei) last year. The expenses and non-financial assets stood at 59.57 billion lei, - up by 9.3 per cent against the year before.
