Chisinau, 30 January /MOLDPRES/ - Prime Minister Pavel Filip, in the beginning of a today’s cabinet meeting, referred to speculations spread in connection with the new wage payment law. The PM noted that, in fact, the law was an unprecedented one – decision-makers managed to make proper order in the entire salary payment system with its enforcement and thousands of people benefited from increases, the government’s communication and protocol department has reported.

„There are a lot of denunciations, saying that lower salaries were taken against the last year. I want to suggest to everybody to address accountants, directors of enterprises, who did not calculate the average salary for the last year and did not pay this compensation. And they must frankly say to employees that they have not managed to make calculations as yet and the compensation or difference is to be paid. I am saddened by the fact that people do not have patience and confidence to address when they identify a problem, but immediately start making politics and statements,” the prime minister said.

At the same time, Pavel Filip stressed that decision-makers had worked on the law for more than one year and the enforcement of the new provisions was not an easy process. In this respect, the PM asked the Finance Ministry to further provide needed support to the financial departments, in order to ensure the correctness of the calculations made. Also, following denunciations, decision-makers will intervene with amendments, just in the case of employees from the education sector – they will receive the supplement to the salary as so far, for holding the managerial degree.

„In one month, we will analyze absolutely everything what has happened with the enforcement of this law; therefore, we will not react to any case appearing in media institutions. On the next period, if needs of amendment appear, we will come up also at the meeting, by taking responsibility, will make these changes, so that we answer all questions and remove all deficiencies,” the PM added.
