Several car washes in Moldova sanctioned by tax body

Chisinau, 31 January /MOLDPRES/- Employees of the State Tax Service (SFS) carried out checks at several carwashes in the country and as a result they applied sanctions in the total amount of 574 thousand lei during 2018.

According to the institution's data, 190 car washes were identified last year with increased risk of tax evasion. They were subjected to controls, which took place in two stages.

Following the actions, the SFS employees established 83 tax violations and 75 contravention violations.

They have imposed sanctions of 574 thousand lei.

Among the detected violations are illegal business activities or the initiation thereof without using the cash machine. At the same time, some entrepreneurs presented erroneous data about the location of the headquarters or subdivision.

Car wash monitoring actions will continue this year.
