Chisinau International Airport flights blocked due to dense fog

Chisinau, 1 February /MOLDPRES/- Chisinau International Airport flights are blocked, due to dense fog. Almost all flights were delayed or cancelled due to reduced visibility.
According to the airport's official website, the flights to Bucharest, St. Petersburg, Tel Aviv, Krasnodar, Kiev, Vienna and two flights to Istanbul were canceled this morning. At the same time, there are more than two hours' delays to Minsk, Bologna and Venice.
Also, flights from St. Petersburg, London, Istanbul, Vienna, Krasnodar and Tel Aviv were canceled. The races from Minsk and Bologna are about to land with a delay of nearly two hours.
At the same time, due to the dense fog, several air flights were redirected to Odessa, Bucharest, Budapest, Iasi and Cluj airports.
National Patrol Inspectorate (INP) press officer Natalia Golovco said that the visibility is currently low on national roads, the road is wet and the risk of road accidents is high.
Today, the Yellow Fog Code remains valid throughout the country. According to the forecasts, large areas will keep fog with a visibility of 200 m and less.
