Moldovan citizens can request free of charge medications

Chisinau, 1 February /MOLDPRES/- Starting today, citizens can request free of charge medications, according to an Order signed by the Ministry of Health, Labor and Social Protection and the National Health Insurance Company.
According to the press service of the Ministry of Health, Labor and Social Protection, in order to receive free medicines, each person should have health insurance and be registered to a family doctor to issue the compensated recipe, and it will be submitted to the pharmacy with an ID.
When presenting the prescription, the pharmacist will propose the medicine offered for free.
The recipe for compensated medicines will be valid in all pharmacies contracted by CNAM throughout the country.
If the free of charge preparation is not in the pharmacy, the pharmacist is required for 72 hours to provide it to the patient. Also, pharmacies are required to place in a visible place the list of drugs offered free of charge in the framework of mandatory health insurance.
