UNDP Moldova launches acceleration programme of 2030 Agenda

Chisinau, 4 February /MOLDPRES/- UNDP Moldova, in partnership with two innovative laboratories, the Danish SDG Accelerator and BCTA Impact Lab, launch a one-year acceleration program to involve the private sector in achieving the 2030 Agenda and the 17 Sustainable Development Goals. The pilot project is managed by the Business Innovation Lab of UNDP Moldova with the support of Sweden, UNDP and co-financing from the private sector.
A press release by UNDP notes that the start was on 1 February, when seven small and medium-sized enterprises in Moldova interested to cooperate with UNDP participated in an event in Chisinau.
“Participating companies benefited from brief training on how ODDs could present interesting business opportunities for their work and how impact management might be helpful. They have learned about UN recommendations on business and human rights, aligning corporate social responsibility strategies with specific ODDs, " Dumitru Vasilescu, a policy specialist at UNDP Moldova, said.
UNDP aims to launch over 60 Laboratories to speed up ODDs in its country offices to use global thinking in designing and investing in local solutions and partners, thus speeding up implementation of ODDs in all countries involved. The laboratories will be connected and supported by a global mentoring network, as well as multiple partners.
