Voters can check correctness of drawing up electoral lists

Chisinau, 4 February /MOLDPRES/- Voters can check the correctness of drawing up the electoral lists for the 24 February parliamentary elections.

According to the Central Electoral Commission (CEC), the lists can be verified by 23 February at both polling stations and online, by visiting www.verifica.cec.md

Electoral lists were submitted by the CEC to the local public administration / diplomatic missions or consular offices. Two copies of the lists shall be immediately transmitted to the electoral commission of the polling station and one copy shall be kept at the city hall / diplomatic mission or consular post.

According to the CEC, the electoral lists include more than 2.8 million voters.

Under the election law, the voter may address to the polling station electoral office, which corresponds to his or her domicile or residence, to request inclusion or exclusion from the list, the correction of errors committed when entering data about himself or other voters.

The voter can be included only in one electoral list and at one polling station based on documents proving his / her residence within respective polling station area. The person with a valid domicile and residence shall be entered on the electoral roll corresponding to the polling station.
