Chisinau, 4 February /MOLDPRES/ - A play titled, The Children of Famine. Evidence, by Alexei Vakulovski, stage management by Luminita Tacu, is presented at the Mihai Eminescu National Theatre on 5 February at 18:30.
According to the organizers, The Children of Famine, is a terrible Verbatim play (documentary theatre) about famine: the stage manager collected diverse confessions by residents from the Antonesti village, south-eastern Stefan Voda district, - survivors of the famine from 1946-47.
On the same day at 19:00, the play, The Black Box, is performed at the Geneza Art Theatre. The scenario of the performance is by Italian authors Philippe Bologna and Paolo Costella, stage management of Daniela Burlaca.
The Black Box is an authentic play about the influence and obsession of the digital age, in the moral and spiritual world of people this the 21st century. The play is focused on spontaneous situations, which trigger controversial discussions, unmask the electronic space in each everyone has created his/her universe.
On 6 February at 18:00, the Mihai Eminescu National Theatre hosts the play Krum by Hanoch Levin, stage management of Luminita Tacu. The play is about a 38-year-old man, who left abroad and then returned home and desperately tried to write a novel and assert himself in life; yet, he failed to do this. This is a play about young people and for young people.
On 7 February at 18:00, a play, The Love Dances and Plays Tricks, by William Shakespeare, is presented at the Mihai Eminescu National Theatre and at 18:30, the A.P. Chekhov Russian State Dramatic Theatre hosts a play titled, White Nights, by Fyodor Dostoyevsky and the play The Nutcracker, by Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky, is performed at the Maria Biesu National Opera and Ballet Theatre also at 18:30.
