Moldovan firemen set more than 4,800 smoke detectors within relevant campaign

Chisinau, 04 February /MOLDPRES/ – Over 4,800 detectors have been installed in recent months in households of disabled people, elderly people and families with many children across Moldova, within campaign: A sheltered home – a saved life.
The press officer of the General Inspectorate for Emergency Situations (IGSU), Liliana Puscasu, said that only in recent month firefighters in common with the local public authorities (ALP) of level I and II installed the smoke detectors in eight localities from Donduseni, Calarasi, Glodeni and Anenii Noi districts.
Also, the employees of IGSU have trained over 130 persons on fire regulations, correct use of stoves and electric heaters. "The firefighters spoke to persons on fire danger, but also about the correct reaction in the event of a detector sound signal being triggered. At the moment, it will be provided with smoke detectors the number of 78 private households in nine localities in Edinet, Dubasari, Glodeni and Anenii Noi districts," said Puscasu.
According to IGSU's information and media communication service, campaign: A sheltered home – a saved life aims to reduce the risk of fires and poisoning with carbon monoxide, especially during the cold season of the year.
