Moldovan Democratic Party's MP only candidate for office of president of Court of Accounts

Chisinau, 5 February /MOLDPRES/ - An MP of the Democratic Party (PDM), Marian Lupu, is the only candidate registered for the contest, organized by the parliamentary commission for economy, budget and finances, for the office of president of the Court of Accounts (CCRM).

The head of the aforementioned commission, Stefan Creanga, made statements to this effect today. Creanga said that the contest had ended on 4 February and only one candidate registered in it, whose file meets all requirements.

The candidacy of Marian Lupu was backed by all members of the commission and Lupu is expected to interview on 6 February at 11:00.

The position of president of the Court of Accounts remained vacant after the former CCRM head, Veaceslav Untila, had been selected for the contest for the post of director of the National Energy Regulatory Agency.
