Chisinau, 7 February /MOLDPRES/ - The leadership of Moldova’s Democratic Party (PDM) today denounced more vandalism acts committed at the headquarters of the formation, as well as against electoral panels and demanded that the law-enforcement institutions investigate the cases. Also today, the PDM deputy leader, Vladimir Cebotari, appealed to all political formations to carry out a clean campaign, without hatred.
According to Cebotari, last night, a fire occurred at the PDM headquarters from the north-western Glodeni town and more electoral panels were damaged in central Hancesti and Straseni towns.
„We do not want to make suppositions and we do not want to be the ones looking for guilty persons. The law-enforcement bodies are to do their job in this case, as well as in the cases when, for instance, PDM supporters were involved. The law-enforcement institutions are to identify the perpetrators and call them to account, no matter who are they, what are their likings and against whom they show their hatred,” Cebotari said.
The PDM deputy leader also said that, unfortunately, the hatred promoted by some politicians hit the new generation too, as minors vandalized several panels belonging to PDM. “We make an appeal to all political formations to urge their party members and supporters to promote a clean campaign, without hatred, and we urge the political leaders who do not have patience to listen to the questions which they do not like, to abstain from violent actions,” Cebotari added.
