Minors to benefit from monthly allocations in Moldova

Chisinau, 7 February /MOLDPRES/ - All Moldovan children till the age of 18 years will benefit from monthly allowances on behalf of the state. The parliament passed a draft law to this end in the first reading today.   

The legislative initiative belongs to MPs Sergiu Sarbu, Valentina Stratan and Valentina Rotaru.

Under the draft, the way of payment of the monthly state allowance will be established by the government and the expenses for the draft’s implementation will be covered from the state budget.  

Data by the National Statistics Bureau shows that 675, 974 were living in Moldova in late 2018.  

To enter into force, the parliament is to vote the draft law in the second reading as well.
