Gagauz authorities launch contest for south Moldova autonomy's brand

Chisinau, 08 February /MOLDPRES/ – "We create the image of Gagauzia together" is the generic of a competition, launched by the authorities of autonomy, for the design of a brand of the region.

According to the first vice – governor of Gagauzia, Vadim Ceban, each participant of the autonomy can participate in the competition and the proposals for the brand and logotype of the territorial – administrative unit can be submitted on 20 February – 20 March.

"We want every citizen in the autonomy to participate in the elaboration of the insignia of the region where he was born or lives. They will help us to promote Gagauzia more effectively in tourism and attract investment," saud Vadim Ceban.

The possible brand projects must characterise the Gagauz people, their historical and cultural treasure, traditions and customs. The papers will be selected by a jury, and the five best ideas will be placed on the official website of the Comrat Executive for online voting. The winner of the contest will also receive a prize worth MDL 10,000.
