Spring sanitation campaign starts in Moldovan capital

Chisinau, 6 March /MOLDPRES/ - The spring sanitation campaign has started in the Moldovan capital. The campaign will be held till 26 April, based on an action plan approved by the acting general mayor of Chisinau, Ruslan Codreanu.   

Thus, the pavements, public transport stops and platforms for collecting waste will be cleaned. At the same time, the pillars and walls where unauthorized advertising announcements were placed will be washed. The grounds nearby the blocks of flats, playgrounds for children, sports fields, yards and grounds nearby kindergartens, schools and medical institutions from Chisinau will also be subjected to sanitation and arranged during the campaign.      

At the same time, the streets and underground passages will be cleaned; the balustrades of bridges and protection parapets on streets will be washed and painted.

Decision-makers from the enterprise, Association of green spaces’ management, will have the task to make overall cleaning in parks, squares, alleys and green areas from Chisinau. They will also repair the urban furniture and will plant more trees.  

The municipal authorities give assurances that, till 26 April, the capital’s district praetor’s offices will liquidate the unauthorized waste landfills and will clean the bottoms of the water basins and the beds of the small rivers from the city.
