Moldovan General Police Inspectorate signs agreement with NGO to promote personal data protection sector

Chisinau, 6 March /MOLDPRES/ - The leadership of the General Police Inspectorate (IGP) and the Association for Private Life Protection today signed an agreement on cooperation, in order to promote the personal data protection sector and the right to private life.
The agreement was signed by the IGP head Alexandru Pinzari and the chief of the aforementioned association, Sergiu Bozianu.
„By joint efforts, we are set to enhance the level of protection of personal data and thus improve the quality of the public services provided to citizens. We will provide a mutual exchange of experience, training programmes in the field; we will cooperate to enhance the degree of perception among policemen of the principles of personal data’s protection,” Alexandru Pinzari noted.
Under the agreement, both sides will take efforts for the promotion of the concepts of “private life” and “personal data protection,” including the importance, advantages and benefits resulting from the protection of the person, as to the automated processing of personal data.
The cooperation will be materialized also in a reciprocal exchange of experience, documents which do not fall under the action of restrictions, statistics data, analytical and conceptual materials, normative acts and relevant documents in the activity sectors.
The institutions will also delegate experts to processes of training staff and will participate in the approval and expert examination of the legislative and normative drafts, worked out for the regulation of the activity fields.
