Chisinau, 7 March /MOLDPRES/ - The pensioners, people with special needs and other beneficiaries of social allocations up to 2,000 lei will receive one-off assistance worthy 600 lei before the Easter. The leader of Moldova’s Democratic Party (PDM), Vlad Plahotniuc, today made statements to this effect at the end of PDM’s weekly meeting.
According to Plahotniuc, more than 600,000 people will benefit from this material support. “We ruled to provide this money through the taking responsibility by the government, as there is the risk for the pensioners not to receive this money, because of the parties which refuse the dialogue, of the political blockage we face after the polls. Yet, under the decision taken today, we make sure that, in the second half of next April, the money will reach the people and they will be able to enjoy this additional support for the Easter Holidays,” Plahotniuc said.
The Democrats’ leader showed disappointed by the lack of reaction of the parties which entered the parliament and which do not hurry to start negotiations for the creation of a parliamentary majority. “We could, of course, already come up also with other good decisions for the good of the citizens, if the leaders of some parties would not continue blocking the formation of a parliamentary majority and the swearing in office of the new cabinet,” Plahotniuc stressed.
