Well-known Moldovan film director passes away

Chisinau, 9 March /MOLDPRES/ - Film director Viorel Mardare died at the age of 37 today morning.
Mardare’s friends posted an announcement on his death on social networks.
Viorel Mardare was hit by a merciless disease, about which he had learned several months ago. He was diagnosed with a type of cancer which affected his kidneys, lungs and liver. At that time, his friends started a campaign of raising funds to help him be healed; yet, unfortunately, his state was already too serious.
Viorel Mardare studied the film direction specialty at the Music, Theatre and Fine Arts Academy and journalism at the Moldovan State University. Mardare deputed in cinematography in September 2007. In 2018, he was awarded the National Prize of Moldova.
