Martisor festival completed yesterday evening

Chisinau, 11 March /MOLDPRES/- The 53rd edition of the Mărţişor International Music Festival ended yesterday evening at the Nicolae Sulac National Palace with the choreographic performance “Din zodia Călușului” by the National Folk Dance Band Joc.

According to Minister of Education, Culture and Research Monica Babuc, the 53rd edition of the Festival included 47 musical performances on the biggest stages: Nicolae Sulac National Palace, Serghei Lunchevici National Philharmonic, National Opera and Ballet Theater Maria Biesu and the Organ Hall. 22 concerts were organized in 13 districts of the country, Gagauzia, two shows in Tiraspol and one in Bender.

Attending the festival were artists and groups from 14 countries. For the first time, participants in the event have been handed the trophy, conducted by fine artist Simon Zamsa.

The 53rd edition of the Mărţişor International Music Festival 2019 took place on 1-10 March. The event was organized by the Ministry of Education, Culture and Research and subordinated concert institutions.
